Community Living St. Catharines (CLSC) is a dynamic and innovative non-profit social service agency providing services and supports to children and adults who have an intellectual disability.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Human Resources, the incumbent will assist in increasing the agency’s social media presence and gain visibility among the community. Responsibilities will include: managing the social media calendar, brainstorming creative ideas, posting on various social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, manage community outreach and day to day activities. We are seeking one Summer Student to work June-August and the position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant.

Qualifications:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
  • Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
  • Legally entitled to work according to provincial legislation and regulations

Other Requirements:

  • Satisfactory Police Clearance (18 years and older)
  • Post-Secondary studies in the field of Marketing and Communications, Content Creation or Public Relations, or mature high school student interested in post-secondary in one of these fields
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media and websites metrics and best practices
  • Completion of Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Training (links accessed through www.clstcatharines.ca under “Job Opportunities”).

Salary: $16.50 per hour, 35 hours per week, 12 week total
