Duties

  • Produce invoices, including the review and compiling of data provided by other departments.
  • Respond to enquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Analyze customer accounts and provide support to other departments.
  • Supervise 1 – 2 staff.

This process will be used to fill one temporary position from July 2023 to March 31, 2024. It will also be used to create a list of qualified candidates.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, or economics; OR successful completion of Introductory Accounting plus an acceptable level of experience related to the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience
  • Experience in the use of computerized financial systems (SAP) and a high degree of proficiency using Microsoft software
  • Experience in accounting procedures and practices related to general ledgers, revenue, accounts receivable and financial reconciliations
  • Experience in managing or supervising a team

Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of proper accounting treatment for accounts receivable transactions and activities
  • General accounting practices including handling of petty cash, account reconciliations, understanding accounting transactions

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create invoices accurately and timely and ensure end-of-quarter requirements are met
  • Proactively investigate and resolve accounts receivable related issues independently and in collaboration with other departments

  • Willingness to travel in various weather conditions in mountain terrain
