- Working with the Manager and Director to develop milestone and responsibility charts for the design and development of the new website and subsites.
- Tracking on a bi-weekly basis the status of each milestone, all critical project data, resource utilization, and overall project impacts.
- Leading biweekly departmental project meetings.
- Escalating immediately any project issue(s) to project leads and Director.
- Managing multiple external contractors specializing in design, website development, marketing, etc.
- Managing, tracking and working within a predetermined project budget.
- Making recommendations to leadership on project progress and make recommendations around best practices.
- Conducting research on best practices in web design and SEO in the post-secondary sector.
- Liaising with teams across the College to determine their key audiences and business needs in the new website.
- Using existing analytics to research current website users, internal search data, and common referral sites.
- Researching website trends in the post-secondary sector, including common online behaviours of primary and secondary audiences.
- Being a leader in the content space, making strategic decisions as part of our cross-functional teams, from pitch and conceptual briefing to final copy and proofing.
- Creating original web copy to motivate engagement, drive applications and encourage conversion, tailored to multiple audiences.
- Working within the new architecture to redevelop all written content.
- Sourcing new multimedia content as needed.
- Using strategy to help the team reimagine all written and multimedia content, providing advice on how strategy can be used to inform projects beyond the website.
- Editing content provided by vendors, internal team members and external departments to fit within the College’s voice while retaining the essential information and key messages.
- Completion of a three (3) year diploma or degree in Marketing, Design, Business, Communications or related field of study
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in marketing and digital content development with proven experience managing large, complex projects
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently
- Experience with progressive levels of responsibility for communications planning and execution, with a proven record of writing, editing, developing creative communications for web and digital platforms for multiple audiences
- Evidence of success working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong research and data collection skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities successfully while maintaining high levels of quality and productivity
- High level of interpersonal skills and the capacity to listen effectively and sensitively to a broad range of diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, and staff members
