- Location: Caledon, ON
- Salary: $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 / Year for 40 to 50 Hours / Week
- Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
- Benefits: As per collective agreement
Job requirements
Languages
- English
- Knowledge of Punjabi or Hindi is an asset
Education
- Minimum Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years
Security and Safety
- Criminal record check and basic security clearance

- Perform general office duties and provide excellent customer service
Business Equipment and Computer Applications
- Monitoring and tracking software
- Dispatch management service software

Dispatcher Specific Skills
- Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
- Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
- Receive requests for emergency assistance or service
- Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
- Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
- Keep track of shipments and follow-up on issues with work orders
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
- Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems
