Job Position: Ticketed Welder

Hours of Work: Full Time, Shift Work

Job Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Ticketed Welder position is a key member of the Maintenance team. Working with other trades, the position will be required to work safely and productively with minimum supervision and will be tasked to help maintain site facilities including, stationary, mobile, and ship loading equipment.

This position requires a demonstrated ability to assist in the identification and early detection requirements of preventative maintenance. The Ticketed Welder is required to repair or replace defective machinery parts, fabricate parts, detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, assemble and install machinery and equipment, operate hoisting and lifting equipment, and perform routine maintenance on equipment throughout the site.

Qualifications:

▪ Demonstrated familiarity and compliance with all relevant safety policies and regulations
▪ Red Seal certification as a Welder

▪ Ability to work with minimal supervision or as part of a team

▪ Must have a valid drivers license

▪ 3+ years experience in industrial maintenance

▪ Previous experience in a sand and gravel quarry considered an asset

▪ Strong interpersonal skills

▪ Prior experience with computer and maintenance software

▪ Preference given to residents of the North Island

▪ Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and employment background checks.
