Telecommunications Laborer Job at Tridon Communications
About the Job:
This is an entry level role where we are looking to train, develop and grow our next technician. In this position, you will learn how to install conduit, pull cabling, install, repair, and provide maintenance of telecommunications cabling systems, complete work on racks and cabinets, and learn how to ground and bond wires.
About You
The ideal person will have some experience in an industrial environment. You will possess some communications education or experience. You will have good analytical, problem solving, trouble shooting and mechanical hands on skills. You will have a safety-first attitude, are not afraid of hard work, and are local to Fort McMurray. We want someone that is looking to grow a career in the Communications world.
Must Haves:
- Safety First Mindset
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Operator’s License or equivalent (recent Driver’s Abstract will be required upon condition of employment).
- Ability to pass a pre access drug and alcohol test and maintain the ability to pass subsequent site pre access testing.
- College Technical Diploma or equivalent in a related field. Communications or Electrician apprentice program is preferred.
- Be able to work a 10 hours per day, 4 days per week
Assets include:
- Experience working in an industrial setting
- Valid Safety Tickets are considered an asset.
- Communications experience of 1 year or more is an asset.
- Telecommunications education or workplace exposure

Our Engineering, Radio Communications, Data Communications, Security, Mobility, and Tower Divisions collaborate with customers to build custom solutions for their wireless communication needs. We have been supplying wireless communication products and services to Alberta industry since 1981. We operate eight service shops in Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Edson, Hinton, Calgary, Athabasca, Saskatoon & Terrace British Columbia.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
