The National Capital Commission is actively seeking students who would like to join us this summer and work alongside our dedicated professionals. Our summer student program runs from May 2023 to end of August 2023.

Other
- Full-time CEGEP, college or university student;
- Enrolled in full-time studies in the next academic year;
- Bilingual in both official languages;
- Possess or eligible to obtain reliability security clearance.
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions;
- Possess a valid drivers’ licence (Ontario: Class G, Québec: Class 5) and provide a good driver’s abstract;
- Willing and physically able to walk for extended periods;
- Have a valid standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certifications;
- Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and civic holidays for the duration of the contract;
- Have experience handling and working with a collection of artefacts, with condition reporting and with exhibit creation;
- Have knowledge of proper handling of artefacts and good research skills;
- Willing to work, at times, in confined spaces (artefact storage locations);
- Willing to work, at times, in harsh or dirty conditions (attic, old buildings);
- Have own means of transportation to Chelsea.
