triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking a Student Communications Specialist to join our team at Toronto South West and Brampton Sault Campus.

Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Student Communications Specialist (SCS) position is to understand, analyze, and synthesize the communications needs of student population. The Student Communications Specialist will drive and implement strategic communications and brand enhancement initiatives using various media and social media channels.

The SCS will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive, and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication, and readiness, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Devise a communication strategy and create content for the various digital media devices on campus to provide regular updates on hiring events, campus and community events, clubs, student success stories, bio boards and more.
  
• Brainstorm with internal key players to identify and determine content to create a biweekly campus newsletter.
  
• Maintain original, updated, and accurate content for the campus display board, campus website, the student web or other apps as needed.
  
• Conceptualize, launch, and monitor various social media platform channels and blogs for students which will allow students to engage in a safe, respectful, and professional manner while allowing for healthy discussions forums.
  
• Prepare various communication and email templates, infographics, employer outreaches, hiring events, faculty-based employability skills flyers, campus - community affiliations, reports, and campus presentations.
  
• Attend campus or community events with student participation and create a library of photographs for the campus magazine, newsletter, and other social media posts.
  
• Interact with media on behalf of the college as advised by management.
  
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field is required.
  
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
  
• Knowledge of email marketing automation (Pardot), Word Press, Google Analytics and Microsoft Office
  
• Portfolio for review will be considered an asset
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
  
• Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Hours of Work:

The hours for this position will be 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a Hybrid role. Operating from home, Toronto South West Campus, and Brampton Campus.
