Brander Professional Corporation is a public accounting firm that provides accounting and tax solutions to corporations and individuals. We are a CPA pre-approved training office. We are looking for a driven and trust worthy individual to join our team as a permanent, full time staff accountant
Responsibilities / Duties
· Prepare corporate year ends
o Compiled Financial Statements
o Corporate tax return
o Bookkeeping
o Year-end adjustments and reconciliations
o Communicate with clients
o Communicate with Canada Revenue Agency and Alberta Finance
· Prepare Personal tax returns
o Import data from Canada Revenue Agency
o Input data from clients
o Communicate with clients
o Communicate with Canada Revenue Agency
· (Depending on the candidate) Review and Audit engagements
Qualification and Experience
· Previous public accounting experience is required.
o Specifically preparing compilation engagements and corporate tax returns
· CPA designation or pursuing the designation would be an asset but not required.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
· Experience with Caseware, Profile, QuickBooks and Sage Accounting would be an asset
· Strong commitment to professional client service, integrity and trustworthiness
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Seasonal, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 6 months
Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
