Primary Job Function:

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild off highway equipment (railcar movers) and industrial Power Transmission Products. This is a full time shop position where, under guidance from our Shop Foreman, you will perform a range of duties from Preventative Maintenance work, inspections, minor corrective repairs to complete machine overhauls. Normal hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm, some overtime afterhours or on weekends will be required from time to time.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment deficiencies.
  • Repairs and overhaul equipment and mechanical products in our Red Deer Shop.
  • Utilize company resources such as diagnostic software, cranes in safe and proficient manner.
  • Support our customers in friendly, polite, and courteous manner.
  • Communicate shop status’s regularly to supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Red Seal Ticketed Heavy Duty Technician
  • Ability to keep an organized and tidy work space / service truck.
  • Communication Skills – through voice, email, instant messages you can communicate clearly and professionally to customers and internal staff.
  • IT Skills – Effectively use IT tools, such as; apps, forms, diagnostic software, and business software (email).

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years working as a ticketed HD Technician
  • Experience working on off highway equipment
  • Experience working on Cummins engines, Funk Transmissions an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38.00-$44.00 per hour
