About the role

We are looking for a highly capable Senior Analyst to provide our asset management team with finance support. You will be the financial expert of the Westbow Group of Companies’ existing rental portfolio and income funds as well as participate in the acquisition process. You will be managing a team of analysts that analyze the existing rental portfolio and potential acquisitions.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing the team of rental analysts
• Ensuring the below tasks & processes are happening on time & focuses on improving the quality/efficiency of each process:
• Acquisition process – 2-day turnaround time on proforma requests
• Monthly cash forecasts (Fund 1, Fund 2, WAM, PKL, properties, pipeline)
• Monthly budget variance analysis (Fund 1, Fund 2, WAM, PKL, properties)
• Monthly financial statement reporting
• Updates NAV calculations & reports quarterly for all funds
• Updates ROI forecasts and partnership waterfall forecasts for all funds
• Assists with pricing of trust/LP units
• Overseeing and reviewing all properties through the proforma process, giving feedback to Jr. analysts on deals they create proformas on
• Managing and driving financing applications for acquired assets
• Identifying financial issues and making recommendations to the asset management team to improve asset performance
• Analyzing data and presenting results and recommendations clearly & concisely
• Preparing financial models & forecasts for potential new funds
• Ensuring IRC matters are documented and addressed
• Ensuring funds are compliant with management, valuation, governance, and all other related policies/agreements
• Leading or participating in value added ad hoc projects, including process improvements, implementation, and analysis of KPIs and implementation of technology solutions

What we’re looking for

• Accounting, Economics or Finance Bachelor’s degree is required
• CPA candidate is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting-related jobs is required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong at problem solving and strong analytical skills
• Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel ability
• Creative and innovative
• Confident in presenting reports and analysis
