Job Summary:
The SQL Developer & Reporting Specialist will collaborate with end users and business stakeholders to identify, create and troubleshoot SQL-based stored procedures and user-facing reports and dashboards. The role will also be tasked with identifying and/or implementing improvements to Titanium's existing SQL queries, reports, and dashboards based on new and existing business processes. They will be responsible for working closely with our vendor partners on implementations and enhancements, or when troubleshooting issues.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Creating program views, functions, and stored procedures
Writing optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications
Developing scripts, procedures, and triggers for application development
Maintaining data quality and backups and overseeing database security
Building databases and validating their stability and efficiency
Analyze all data and processes related to these SQL-based systems and recommend improvements to improve day-to-day operations.
Create, update and improve existing Titanium reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Power BI.
Develop an excellent understanding of Titanium's business to ensure the accuracy of reports and dashboards.
Investigate and identify all production issues and work with software/service vendors to resolve them as it relates to the systems that use SQL servers.
Evaluate the effectiveness of new system changes, testing and implementation of new systems, and existing system modifications.
Administer routine and non-routine procedures for application use and security access, monitor KPIs, and gather performance metrics for these systems.
Adhere to all service standards and policies, including Health & Safety
Work in compliance with the provisions of Occupational Health and Safety
Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Post-secondary degree in information management, computer science, or related field of study.
5 years of hands-on work-related experience with SQL Server
Hands-on work-related experience with SSRS and Power BI preferred.
Self-starter and results-driven. Able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner, with minimum guidance or prompting. Proactive, dependable, and positive attitude.
Flexibility to provide after-hours support as needed.
High aptitude in business analysis, integration, testing, data management, and end-to-end process facilitation
A solid understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems
Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills
