Sous Chef/Assistant Manager Job at Crafty Ramen
Crafty Ramen is looking for a Sous Chef/Assistant Manager to join our team in Guelph!
The accountabilities for this role will be:
-Prep & execute the Crafty Ramen menu to company specifications
-Assume the role of the General Manager when they are not in store
-Order product, count inventory and do basic data entry in MarketMan
-Train new crew members according to Crafty Ramen procedures
-Work a POS terminal and serve food & alcohol to our guests when required
-Basic cash handling & some banking may be required
-Uphold Crafty Ramen's standards of service, cleanliness, organization and food quality with a fanatical attention to detail
The ideal candidate will have:
-A warm, welcoming, hospitable personality & a strong sense of integrity
-No ego, strong willingness to learn & grow
-A minimum of 4 years cooking experience in full service, from scratch restaurants
-Previous management & supervisory experience
-Experience counting inventory, placing product orders & controlling par levels
-Previous experience with Japanese cuisine is an asset but not a requirement
-Food Handler's certificate, First Aid & Smart Serve certifications
-Culinary/Hospitality Management diploma/degree or Red Seal certification is an asset
