         Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
        
 
        
          WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: 
          SLWK
           2112 Sec 52 “Development of Canadian Social Work and Social Welfare”. (Part 1 of a 2 Part Course). The course will be offered in the Fall Term
          , from 
          September-December 2023. For a full course description, please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Calendar.
         
         The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. Distance courses are taught using an online learning management system (LMS) known as Brightspace. Distance courses require on-line availability for consultation with students. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery.
         Qualifications/Requirements of Position
        
 
        
         A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience, preferably with online teaching..
