SERVICE TECHNICIAN JOB OPPORTUNITY

KC Home Medical Equipment has been delivering high quality sales and service of home medical equipment in the East and West Kootenays for 25 years. We sell and service a wide range of medical equipment and mobility products including hospital beds, power/manual wheelchairs, scooters, stair lifts, porch lifts and home elevators.

Job Summary

· Installation and assembly of new equipment in shop or on location

· Assessment, repair and maintenance of existing equipment in shop or on location

· Job requires day time travel throughout the East Kootenay for installation and servicing of equipment

· Documentation of job notes

· Travel for training though Canada and USA as required for manufacturer certification

· Build relationships with clinicians, clients, vendors and community partners while supporting team members

Skills and Abilities

· Critical thinker – able to analyze situations and problem solve

· Enthusiasm and willingness to learn

· Mechanical and/or electrical experience an asset

· Oral and written communication skills required

· Home Medical Equipment background an asset but not required – training will be provided

· Team worker – comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Extensive training will be provided as required to the successful candidate. Previous home medical equipment experience is not required. Experience and/or an interest in assembly of products, installation and/or construction and general repair are an asset.

Position hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday – Friday with benefit package available. On occasion overtime may be required.
