Service Advisor with automotive experience Job at Hamilton Volvo
Hamilton Volvo is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a service advisor. In this important role, you will be responsible for greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner, determining their automotive service needs, recommending maintenance, and other services to satisfy these needs. You are a critical part of the dealership's role to guide the client throughout the service process and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling service appointments
- Opening Repair Orders (ROs) and describing clearly and accurately the specific problems and needs.
- Recommending and explaining the nature of the required automotive maintenance and repairs to the client
- Securing agreements from clients before repairs, outlining cost estimate and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed.
- Communicating often and effectively with technicians to obtain information on needed repairs.
- Keeping client's informed of the repair progress and communicating the need for extra work when needed.
- Explaining warranty processes and factory-recommended maintenance schedules to clients.
- Staying up to date on technical and performance information on all vehicles serviced by the dealership.
- Handling client inquiries and complaints in a timey manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year related automotive service advisor experience
- Post secondary diploma or education is an asset
- Previous experience in a European automotive service department.
- Basic mechanical and automotive product knowledge.
- Knowledge of CDK/180 is an asset
- Effective listening, communication, and client service skills
- Thrives in a fast paced environment, working well under pressure.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Automotive Service Advisor: 1 year (preferred)
