Responsibilities could include but are not limited to:

· Analyze, evaluate, develop business processes (financial, operational, systems, etc.);

· Identify organizational and/or project business opportunities for improvement and streamlining of business processes; and

· Assist other stakeholders in development and implementation of business improvement processes and programs.

In addition to TBIPS Tasks following are detailed tasks in each of the areas required:

· Developing Programs and Services

- Working with management to develop the business apparatus necessary to define and launch new service offerings or refine existing services in the areas of IM/IT Vendor Relationship Management, Cloud Computing, Emerging Technology, Security Management, Enterprise Architecture, etc.;

o This may include service catalogs, costing models, terms of use, concepts of operations, service level agreements, service delivery models, identification and definition of deliverables and work products, resourcing requirements, etc., and

o Procedures for requesting, delivering, triaging, tracking, and prioritizing requests.

- Working with management to define the IM/IT Vendor Relationship Management or other programs, including its vision and mandate, activities, inputs and outputs, and its role and function within the department;

- Defining vision, strategy, and roadmaps for new (emerging) business or technology and for business or digital transformation initiatives;

- Researching how other governments and GC departments conduct similar business and harvesting their lessons learned and best practices;

- identifying and evaluating critical success parameters, factors, and performance measures and measuring and reporting on outcomes demonstrating business value; and

- Participating in the definition of business cases and corporate outcomes management processes.

· Advising Management

o Providing expertise to enable sound decision-making supporting existing initiatives, future undertakings, and transitions;

o Providing business and strategic advice as well as guidance on governance, planning, resourcing, procurement, and outcomes management;

o Identifying organizational and/or project business opportunities for improvement and streamlining of business processes;

o Providing expert advice in implementing new information sources, applications, business processes, organizational changes, and governance changes;

o Assisting other program or project stakeholders in the development and implementation of business improvement processes and programs as and when required;

o Assisting in the enhancement, evolution, alignment, and implementation of the GC’s digital strategy;

o Participating in the definition of service and transformation roadmaps that provide high-level and detailed views of initiatives (sequencing, dependencies, leveraged investments, constraints, and critical success factors);

o Creating and/or delivering briefing material and presentations to various levels of business and IT stakeholders, including executive governance levels as and when required;

o Facilitating meetings, workshops, and discussions related to digital transformation and service development and evolution.

· Professional Development and Knowledge Transfer

o Transferring knowledge to management and staff to ensure the continued effective delivery of IM/IT Vendor Relationship Management, Cloud Computing, Emerging Technology, Security Management, Enterprise Architecture, or other services to the GC;

o Defining appropriate training approaches for management and staff to build organizational expertise and capacity in the areas of IM/IT Vendor Relationship Management, Cloud Computing, Security Management, Emerging Technology, Enterprise Architecture, or others that may arise; and

o Coaching, mentoring and training GC CISTO management team and staff as appropriate.

Skills/Experience Required:

· A minimum of 10 years of experience providing executive level direction and advice on highly visible and sensitive initiatives

· A minimum of 10 years of experience developing programs or services to respond to new business needs

· A minimum of 10 years of experience developing business programs or services that are corporate-wide

· Must have developed programs or services in at least one of the following areas:

o Cloud computing; or

o Enterprise Architecture; or

o IM/IT Vendor Relationship Management; or

o Security Management; or

o Emerging Technologies
