Scarlet Group of is seeking Full time and on-call Security Guards to join our team in Kitimat, British Columbia. Successful applicants will provide security services to a large and dynamic work site including, but not limited to, ensuring adherence to site rules, site access, vehicle searches, foot and mobile patrolling, lodge security, assistance with emergency response, security of waterfront and port area.

Day to Day job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining excellent customer service to guests, colleagues, and site workers
• Access control/intrusion detection at site, accommodation, and marine area
• Monitoring site activities, detecting suspicious occurrences and providing detailed written incident reports
• Mobile and foot patrols of assigned areas
• Recording daily activities, completing access and administrative forms, and issuing or checking security badges
• Monitoring access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems
• Emergency response dispatch and intra-team communication via radio

Required Qualifications

· Valid British Columbia Security License (applicants from outside of BC must obtain)

· Valid FULL Class 5 Drivers License and acceptable Drivers Abstract

· Must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test (Scarlet Security will arrange)

· Valid CPR & AED certification (must have or obtain within 3 months)

· Proof of double COVID vaccination required

· CSTS (can be obtained for free online)

· WHMIS (can be obtained for free online)

· Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills

· Willingness to work both day and night shifts, indoors or outdoors as required

· Must be able to work in proximity to alcohol (be posted to/respond to incidents in site lounge)

Additional Information

Full Uniform provided including PPE. Incumbent need only provide personal black, approved footwear (boot allowance provided).

2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation

Paid transportation to and from site from Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna, and Vancouver airports. Residents of Kitimat and surrounding areas will be provided with bus transportation to site.

Extended Health Benefits after 3 months of employment

UNION PENSION

We provide lodging to out of area residents. Candidates from Kitimat and surrounding area will be given priority and provided transportation to site. Candidates from other regions will be strongly considered
