Security Guard - Quick Response $23

Commissionaires BC are looking for a guard to work full time providing coverage to multiple sites in Vernon.

We are looking for guards with the following availablilty:

• Wed - Sun: 0600 - 1800
• Thurs - Mon: 0800 - 2000

Your Must Haves …

• Valid BC Security License
• Class 5 Driver's License
• OFA Level 1
• Use of own vehicle in order to get to sites not transit friendly
• Excellent English oral and written skills

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Interior and exterior patrols
• CCTV Monitoring
• Access Control and visitor verification
• Crowd control and management
• Responding to potential protesters or media
• Directing incoming mail to relevant staff
• First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
• Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols

• Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
• Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, and equipment such as faxes and photocopiers
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
• Physically able to conduct extensive foot patrols both indoors and outdoors in a range of weather conditions
