Location: Greater Toronto Area

Purpose: You will represent Fit Foods to all customer accounts in a designated geographical territory, to obtain optimum distribution of products by reaching and exceeding their sales performance objectives.

What you will do?

  • Originate sales/leads or prospects, organize presentations/demonstrations, draft quotes and present proposals.
  • Close sales leads, and follow-up with clients/accounts to continually increase the gross sales and gross profit of the territory
  • Service, sell, and collect from all existing accounts in the territory
  • Create new accounts in the territory, visit, and service key accounts
  • Reach monthly sales objective each and every month and strive to exceed quotas
  • Maintain an acceptable margin level while reaching sales objectives
  • Open at least one (1) new direct account each month. It is the candidate’s responsibility to maintain a total of new accounts, and to provide the list at the end of each fiscal year
  • Provide pricing quotations and following up on quotes, process quotes, orders, and prepare documentation in order to fulfill customer needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide appropriate timely coverage repeatedly to all accounts within the territory.
  • Conduct retailer employee training sessions, provide leadership, and good sales management practices to Demo Staff
  • Field customer concerns and recommend solutions for resolution. Act as a resource and facilitator to resolve customer service issues as they arise
  • Provide monthly reports on non-direct accounts such as but not limited to: chain stores, grocery, mass market, or drug stores
  • Process Customer credits or returns on a prompt and timely basis
  • Keep an A/R balance commensurate with good accounting practices as it is the responsibility of the Business & Brand Development Representative to collect on overdue accounts and sell to stores
  • Follow & comply with all Company procedures and policies as directed
  • Outwardly exude a positive and professional attitude to all stakeholders including clients and staff alike
  • Be available for Trade Shows, Consumer, and/or Industry events, and in addition be available to travel anywhere in Canada, U.S., and Europe as required by the Company
  • Other duties as required by the CEO, Director of Sales, and the CFO
  • Assist in driving awareness to company social media such as Instagram and YouTube to drive audience numbers and subscribers higher
  • Assist retail accounts in promotional ideas to help keep them relevant in an ongoing, increasingly aggressive retail space where needed
  • Troubleshoot challenges within different accounts that could be but are not limited to: inventory issues, pricing issues, address online retail concerns etc. within the territory to maintain harmony amongst competing accounts while providing gold standard customer service to further drive the confidence in the relationship between retail and Fit Foods
  • Be active in supporting brands by driving knowledge to consumers to further interests and focuses on our products for both launches, and existing via social media outlets such as Instagram and Facebook
  • Share successful strategies with the sales team to increase the team’s overall success rate in increasing sales

Which background, skills or knowledge do you need?

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience involving direct customer service and sales, those individuals with product knowledge or industry experience will be preferred
  • Must have previous big brand B2B sales experinece
  • Self-motivated individual with a talent to make cold calls, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, customer service-focused environment
  • Capability to plan, prioritize, organize, direct, and control actions in order to get tasks completed and to meet customer needs

  • Continuously seeks opportunities to improve individual, team, and departmental performance results and to acquire new product knowledge and skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Some knowledge of general Excel spreadsheet application
  • Ability to create self-managing tools within Microsoft office to support personal efficiency
  • Be able to come up with programs and events to help drive sales and increase account participation to grow all brands
