Brunswick Valley Lumber was founded in 2003 and is currently one of the largest lumber distributors in eastern Canada. Head office is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick with operations stretching from Newfoundland to Florida and as far west as Texas. Our ambition is to grow further west and add additional lumber related products to our offering. We currently trade SPF softwood, OSB, and various other species.

Brunswick Valley Lumber is seeking a hard working, competent salesperson to the join the BVL sales team as a lumber trader.

The position is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick although consideration will be given to experienced traders who may wish to work remotely.

What we are looking for:

Brunswick Valley Lumber is looking for a hard working and highly motivated individual with initiative, great people skills, great judgement, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. The position will specifically be buying, selling, and trading lumber as well as providing superior customer service. Forestry and industry knowledge is not required as a training program will be offered.

A salary of $40,000 - $50,000 plus commission will be offered.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

-To develop and sustain great relationships with customers and suppliers with an emphasis on customer service

-Collaborating and effectively working together with the rest of the sales team to maximize success

-Ability to problem solve and communicate efficiently with co-workers, customers, and suppliers

-It is strongly recommended to have a post secondary degree

-Strong English speaking and writing skills

-Comfortable with computers and have a good understanding Microsoft office (Excel and Word)
