Description
The Sales Operations Coordinator is in a visible role, meeting with retail and corporate partners on various aspects of the Resort’s card and ticket programs. The Sales Operations Coordinator works under the direction of the Sales and Marketing Supervisor, closely with all Sales & Marketing, and liaises frequently with third-party representatives.

This position is based out of our Calgary office

Job Functions
Program Sales and Operations
  • Processing, printing, and distribution (in person or shipping) of all product orders to account holders.
  • Ensuring pricing, design requirements, and timelines are met with product vendors.
  • Reviewing, contributing to, and following up on elements of department strategic sales plan.
Product and Business Development (New and Existing)
  • Build, execute, develop, and produce: Sunshine SuperCard and Prairie Card, corporate, retail and thrift programs, summer products, and new product initiatives.
  • Contribute to 3rd party retailer benefits programming Card and Pass products.
  • Consistent, ongoing communication with key contacts – small ski areas, resort and hotel properties, retail, industry, and tourism partners (including as AB Visitor Information Centre “point person”), to generate leads, gain accounts, increase sales, build relationships, and increase product knowledge via visits, calls, meetings, brochure, trail map and collateral distribution, regional pop-ups, promotions.
  • Sales, infrastructure support, and attendance at consumer trade shows.
  • Host familiarization tours at Resort for representatives from existing and prospective partnerships.
Sales & Marketing Team Support
  • Supporting the Calgary Sales and Customer Care departments with general duties, desk/phone coverage, pass printing and fulfilment during peak business times.
  • Assisting Groups, On-Mountain Events, and with additional Resort initiatives, as and when required.
Administrative Functions
  • Timely, complete, accurate documentation e.g., meetings, schedules, sales reports, incident reporting.
  • Communicating and adhering to company initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • New account set up, contract preparation.
  • Monitoring POP compliance at partner sites.
  • Alongside Accounting, reconciling all managed accounts and secure product inventory management.
  • Maintaining accurate inventories and balanced cash-outs, alongside meeting sales targets.
Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.

Experience/Requirements
  • Previous experience in a sales environment is required. Industry experience is preferred.
  • Positive, mature, and professional attitude.
  • Prepared to work flexible schedules e.g., weekends, holidays, and extended hours may be required, along with overnight travel, particularly during promotional seasons.
  • Calm under pressure and patient, with good time management skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
  • Work in a confidential capacity.
  • Maintain professional conduct when knowingly acting as a company representative, on or off duty.
  • Effectively provide support and assistance to coworkers and team members.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training inside and outside of own department.
  • Must be neat, alert, punctual and dependable.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) an asset.
  • Valid AB driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
Additional Considerations

  • Some uniform pieces are provided. A business casual approach under the Grooming Policy is required.
  • This role at times deals with sensitive, confidential information and is expected to adhere to high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • This position requires the ability to ski or snowboard. Skiing or snowboarding for work requires completion of a competency test, skiing and riding professionally, and is restricted to designated runs.
  • Skiing or snowboarding equipment used for work must be in good operating condition, meet Sunshine Village equipment requirements, and may be tested throughout the season.
  • Travel to the Resort and inter-provincially will be required, and adherence to the Company Driver’s standards must be met.
