RESIDENT ATTENDANT - Internal Training Program

We are currently accepting applications from individuals interested in participating in our 'Internal Resident Attendant Training Program'. This is an intense 4-5 week training program which includes instructional hours, care hours and preceptorship hours. Week 1 through Week 3 are Mondays through Fridays, 7:00am-3:00pm. Week 4 will have varying hours (days/evenings/nights). Mandatory attendance is required for the duration of this training program.

Upon successful completion of all aspects of the program, candidates may have the opportunity to work as a Resident Attendant.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The PSW/RA is part of the interdisciplinary care services team whose role is to provide quality resident care. Effective communication is an important skill as you will be interacting daily with residents, resident family members, team members and other departmental members to ensure resident needs are met.

You have a positive attitude and are committed to making a difference in the lives of our residents each and every day. You are a good communicator, a team player, available to work shift work and weekends and have obtained your high school diploma (minimum).
