An exciting opportunity exists for the right individual to join our progressive non-profit organization as a part-time or casual care aid. The position entails working alongside the LPN’s providing care to adults at our Long Term Care location in Surrey.

Holly Park (North Surrey) is a long-term care home for adults that offers accommodations to individuals with an acquired brain injury, physical and intellectual disabilities, behavioral and medical health care needs. Homes are wheelchair accessible and well equipped with adaptive equipment.

The home is well maintained and has a unique character that is reflective of the residents’ personalities and tastes. Common across all locations is a welcoming sense of friendliness, safety, and comfort.

The right candidate should have experience with Behavior Management, Personal Care, as well as a Medication Administration Certificate.

The position is casual/on-call as needed with opportunities to post into a permanent position.

Job Duties Include but not limited to:

• Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health and behaviours
• Ability to create a meaningful routine
• Knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence
• Following health care plans*
• Completing daily documentation
• Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
• Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills

Job Qualifications Include:

• BC Care Aid Registered Number
• Medication Administration Certificate from reputable school
• Criminal Record Check
• Negative TB test

Training will be provided after hiring for:

• First Aid and CPR
• Mandt
• Food Safe

Start date: ASAP

Compensation: $21.63/hour to start plus a COVID top-up benefit of $1.86/hr and benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
