E Clinic United Healing, formally Mediwise Healthcare Centre, is a privately operated, inter-professional facility that specializes in the treatment of individuals who have sustained injuries in a motor vehicle accident. We are looking for regulated health care professionals to join our multidisciplinary team and provide services to our clients in a positive, professional and welcoming environment and in a client centered approach.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) to work under a close supervision of an experienced psychologist. The position is virtual in nature with minimal to no in person visits required. This position is a consultant/contractor role. Our administrative team will work with you and will handle the day-to-day administrative functions in collaboration and consultation with the providers. The provider has flexibility on when they are scheduled.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing psychotherapy treatment;
  • Psychotherapy assessments;
  • Conducting individual and group therapy treatment options;
  • Clinical notes and reports including gathering medical and psychosocial history of individuals;
  • Evaluating client progress including progress reports, treatment plans and discharge reports;
  • Working with other health care professionals as a part of client’s treatment team;
  • Preparing and maintaining an accurate and timely record of service and relevant information in a confidential and professional manner with best practices in mind; and
  • Other tasks s required from time to time.

Position Requirements:

  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Commitment to professionalism, effective time management and positive attitude
  • Availability to provide consistent treatment to individuals as per their treatment plan
  • Ability to provide full time hours an asset with a reliable/consistent schedule

Education and Experience:

  • Masters or equivalent from a recognized university and psychotherapy/counselling program
  • Experience working in Ontario in the Motor Vehicle Accident Industry an asset

Registration(s):

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapy of Ontario

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Training and competency in evidence-based treatment approaches and commitment to professional development and engaging in best practices (CBT, DBT, etc.)
  • Knowledge and sensitivity on client centered/focused approach in treatment
  • Comfortable engaging and treating individuals in a virtual/telehealth environment while maintaining the confidence and comfort of clients
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Able to operate with strict and time sensitive deadlines (assessment reports and clinical notes, reports, etc.)
  • Ability to connect and develop rapport with clients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds
  • Maintain best practices as they relate to confidentiality, personal health privacy and relevant custodial responsibilities as it relates to client health information and documentation
  • Ability to communicate proficiently and effectively verbally and written in English

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: $41,600.00-$104,000.00 per year
