Required:

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with current registration
• Qualified to practice within current CNO RPN scope of practice guidelines
• Current BCLS certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in Surgical Day Care setting
• Must be able to rotate through Surgical Day Care and Ambulatory care
• Excellent clinical, decision making and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and organizational skills
• Must function within the competencies, professional and clinical standards for Peri-operative Nursing Practice
• Ability to make intelligent, independent decisions and initiate appropriate action based on patient-focused best practice guidelines
• Commitment to providing high quality, individualized patient care
• Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced working environment

• Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history

Hours of Work: Permanent Casual. Required to provide availability for a minimum of six (6) shifts per month. Must be available to work 8 and 12 hour day shifts. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the SEIU collective agreement.

Salary: $31.40 - $32.01 an hour
