Position Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining and ensuring Surveillance Video Management systems operate in accordance with functional design specifications through systematic and defined activities/processes, as well as maintenance and support of multiple assigned systems within established performance criteria. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.

Key Accountabilities:

· Responsible for overall performance and availability of assigned VMS

· System optimization activities including, but not limited to patching, upgrading, and performance tuning

· Analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of system hardware, software and networking issues up to and including system operating system

· Performance of high-level root cause analysis for service interruptions, resolution of issues and creation of preventive measures

· Develop change requests including implementation, communication, testing and back out plans.

· Maintenance of system documentation and provision of reports on maintenance contracts, SLAs and warranty information on of assigned systems

· Monitor, review and administer system health checks and daily backup processes

· Establish and maintain IT processes supporting assigned systems

· Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments

· Builds strong working relationships with all operational departments, guests and vendors

· Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

· Performs other duties as assigned or directed

· Maintains technical databases and software

· Trains employees on equipment use

· Prepares and follows an approved Preventative Maintenance Schedule

· Liaises with end users, vendors and technical teams on troubleshooting and issue resolution activities

· Administers application security and performs associated reconciliation and validation to ensure compliance

· Monitors application performance, stability, and licensing compliance

· Develops and maintains technical documentation to ensure it is current and accurate

Education and Qualification Requirements:

· Post-Secondary education in information systems or suitable combination of education and experience.

· Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication.

· Microsoft MCSE Server Infrastructure a strong asset

· TCP/IP Networking experience a strong asset

· Computer literacy in MS Office and MS Windows

· Alarm and Security Technician Certification an asset

· CCTV/NTSC video signal experience a strong asset

· Computer hardware and software troubleshooting experience an asset

· Knowledge of AutoCad an asset

· Honeywell, Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec VMS certifications an asset

· Valid Class 5 Drivers License

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
