How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:
Provides front line customer service to all visitors at Head Office and acts as the first point of contact for calls to the switchboard.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Provides access to and greets employees and visitors and directs them to various areas of the building as appropriate
  • Answers and directs all incoming calls to appropriate department or location
  • Maintains and files sign-in log chart for visitors
  • Responds to general inquiries from TRCA’s general email inbox or forwards to appropriate staff for response
  • Distributes and records cheque pick-up for vendors
  • Opens, sorts, dates, stamps correspondence and distributes applicable mail/parcels, tender bids
  • Assumes Chief Fire Warden duties in the event of an emergency evacuation
  • Performs general clerical functions, while supporting receiving on an as needed basis
  • Incumbents may also be assigned other duties
What will you need to succeed:
  • Completion of college diploma in Customer Service and/or Office Administration or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service field or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with tact and courtesy
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise communication in both non-emergency and emergency situations
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint
