We are currently accepting resumes for the following Raise Bore positions for projects located in Thompson, MB. This role may also have the opportunity to travel to other project locations outside of Thompson, MB.


  • Raise Bore Helper
  • Raise Bore Operator
  • Raise Bore Supervisor

Interested in a Raise Bore Helper position?

Responsibilities include:
  • Follow rules related to safety standards and practices before, during and after work.
  • Conduct pre-start checks of work area and equipment.
  • Assist operators and team in the operation of Raise Bore activities.
  • Practice good housekeeping (maintaining a clean work area, storage of materials and spare parts).
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications include:
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge, skills, and experience in operation of heavy machinery.
  • Ontario Common core modules.
  • Proven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Able to work rotation, day, and night shifts as may be required.
  • Able and willing to travel as required.
  • Access to a vehicle and valid drivers license is required.
  • Long Hole experience is an asset.

Interested in a Raise Bore Operator position?

Responsibilities Include:
  • Follow rules related to safety standards and practices before, during and after work.
  • Conduct pre-start checks of work area and equipment.
  • Complete all aspects of raise bore cycle.
  • Read and interpret engineering plans to set up the raise drill and assemble components.
  • Perform repairs as required.
  • Practice good housekeeping (maintaining a clean work area, storage of materials and spare parts).
  • Keep accurate records of activities.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications include:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a qualified Raise Bore Operator.
  • Sound knowledge, skills, and experience in operation of heavy machinery.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Long hole drilling experience is an asset.
  • Ontario Common core modules.
  • Proven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Able to work rotation, day, and night shifts as may be required.
  • Able and willing to travel as required.
  • Access to a vehicle and valid drivers license is required.

Interested in a Raise Bore Supervisor position?

Responsibilities include:
  • Organizes and leads the mobilization, setup, work performed, tear down and demobilization of raise drill, crew, and equipment, both on and off site.
  • Works within the contract presented to the client.
  • Supervises crews and coordinates the activities of the workers in surface and underground mining projects.
  • Provides training to raise bore crews as required.
  • Daily documentation and correspondence between client and company on performance of raise drill, crew, and equipment.
  • Takes responsibility for aspects of occupational health and safety, and environmental matters, over which the individual has control, including adherence to all requirements applicable to DMC.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications include:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
  • Specialty Raise Bore modules and Ontario Common Core modules (Supervisor) preferred.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Able to work rotation, day, and night shifts as may be required.
  • Able and willing to travel as required.
  • Access to a vehicle and valid drivers license is required.
