McMan is looking for a Full-Time Program Supervisor for the Roots Youth Shelter Program in Medicine Hat.

Here is how you will contribute as a Program Supervisor within the Roots Youth Shelter Program:

· Responsible for the management of the youth shelter program, ensuring goals and objectives of the program are being met in alignment with the contract and the philosophy of McMan.

· Responsible for recruitment, scheduling, training, coaching and supervision of employees in the program.

· Provide direct day-to-day service delivery, support, and supervision for youth ages 12-17 in an overnight, residential, group setting.

· Lead the team to provide trauma-informed care and supports for up to four youth with behavioral, cognitive and emotional challenges and various disabilities, including FASD.

· Ensure an effective local presence for McMan with funding bodies, service participants and the community.

· Work in collaboration with employees and the leadership team to enhance the direction and vision of McMan.

· Work 40 hours per week, primarily days (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), with flexibility required to meet the needs of the program.

· Participate in McMan’s On-Call team.

Here’s what you’ll need to get an interview.

· Degree/Diploma in Social Work, Child and Youth Care Counselling, Addictions Counselling or related human services or social sciences field. A combination of experience and education may be considered.

· At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.

· Experience working in a youth residential care environment or shelters.

· Experience working with multiple stakeholders.

· Experience with participant case coordination.

· Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.

· Experience working with multi-barriered individuals and diverse populations.

· Demonstrate professionalism within all aspects of employment.

· Attention to accuracy and detail.

· Microsoft Office abilities (SharePoint, One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

· Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate must be obtained prior to commencement.

· Clear Intervention Record Check and Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector dated within past six months.

· Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance.
