Production Technician - Brooks, Alberta (4 Month Contract - Summer Student)
BMP Supplies, a 20+ year-old family-owned and operated company, is seeking a Production Technician (4 Month Term) for its Brooks, Alberta location to manufacture products made from wheat-straw using specialized equipment. The ideal candidate must be hard-working, dependable, reliable, and safety-conscious.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining safety standards
- Performing physically demanding tasks
- Palletizing, packaging orders safely and diligently
- Loading and moving straw bales and finished goods
- Keeping the work environment clean
- Forklift experience is a plus
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs+ frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and reach during shift
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Mechanical/manufacturing experience a plus
- Ability to work in a dusty environment with straw and hay
Compensation:
- $21 to $22/hr depending on product you are making.
- 4% vacation pay
Term: May to August/September 2023
Location: 183073 RR 150 #50, Brooks, AB T0J 2A0
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $21.00 - $22.00/hour.
