Truss Production Supervisor – Permanent – Innisfil, ON.

About Our Client

Our client provides superior service and products to residential and commercial builders throughout Barrie and the Greater Toronto Area.

What You Will Be Doing, as a Truss Production Supervisor:

Ensure line personnel are effectively always utilized; to include setup and changeovers.

Ensure that equipment is set up to produce scheduled products and all materials required for production are there.

Identifying practices, processes, and equipment for continuous improvement where possible.

Communicates with various professionals to achieve the planned objectives and to ensure efficient operations.

Trouble-shoot production problems to maintain and ensure line output.

Communication with other shifts about current and forecasted schedules, what’s done, equipment issues, etc.

Analyze and create metrics for the truss plant. Forecast lumber, plates, and hangers.

Send a weekly production report to management. Monitor, report and contain all non-conformances for the plant.

Monitor, report and contain downtime.

Find out why it’s happening and implement changes to correct to minimize.

Work in compliance with both the OHSA and regulations.

Always maintain a positive working environment.

Interviews, selects, and trains new hires to ensure the department is fully staffed for production needs.

Responsible for completing monthly safety talks documented and signed off.

Review and resolve all issues raised through the equipment circle check process.

Inventory counts.

Update accountability boards.

What You Should Have, as a Truss Production Supervisor:

Ability to use hand tools.

2+ years of Production Supervising

1+ year(s) of construction, manufacturing, or warehousing experience an asset

Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written

Basic math skills: ability to read tape measures, basic measurement calculations.

Must have excellent safety record and steel toe boots.

Ideal candidate will be able to start immediately.

Transportation is required, as public transit is not available.
