Sunrise Farms is expanding in Alberta and we are looking for a Payroll/Administration Clerk for a brand new plant that will start its operations by the end of January 2023. Position Summary: The Plant Payroll/ Administration Clerk provides administrative support to the business with responsibilities including plant payroll using Dayforce, invoicing, and assisting accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll:

  • Weekly review of payroll, identifying missed punches, lates, early exits, shift changes
  • Reconcile weekly vacation board to blue forms coded in Dayforce and HR calendar
  • Provide new benefit packages to newly hired hourly employees
  • Generate Retro forms and seek approval from Supervisor/Plant Manager
  • Complete wage change forms/position changes and seek appropriate approval
  • Review and submit Supervisor premiums to Plant Manager for approval
  • Respond to employee payroll enquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
  • Other payroll duties as required

Plant Administration:

  • Purchase office supplies
  • Assist with customer invoicing and transfers
  • Bank deposits
  • Supplier invoicing for AP – system PO’s
  • Other Office duties as required

Skills/Qualifications

· 1-2 years’ previous experience in admin role

· Food Manufacturing Environment experience an asset

· Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

· Outstanding attention to detail

· Strong computer skills - MS Office suite

· Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

· Adaptability and Initiative

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Must be able to multi-task and possess strong organization skills
