Cahill is seeking qualified candidates for a Planner position based out of our office in St. John’s, NL. As a Planner, you will report directly to the Project Controls Manager and work within a collaborative and supportive team. Within the Project Controls team, you will help support projects and bid estimates through schedule development, maintenance, and reporting. You will collaborate with Project construction teams to plan projects (with aspects related to execution, staffing, material deliveries, etc.), analyze productivity and manage changes and/or conflicting priorities.

What will you do?

• Develop work breakdown structures and collaborate with estimating group and project managers to prepare bid proposals.
• Prepare Project Schedules and workforce levels for the proposal based on the information prepared in the bid estimate.
• Provide input on cash flow and resource profiles to support estimates.
• Assist in the set-up of project work breakdown structure and cost coding structures based on customer and internal project requirements
• Prepare Earn Value Management reporting systems to track and monitor progress on a weekly basis.
• Assist in the establishment and execution of a project Cost Control System
• Assist in project development, execution, and control procedures.
• Work with the project management team to identify and address project performance issues.
• Prepare 3, 6, 12 week look ahead reports for the project teams’ consideration.

What will you bring?

• Engineering Degree or CET or combined education and relative experience.
• 2-5 years of construction experience in a related industry
• Oracle Primavera Planning Software experience required
