Physiotherapist Assistant

Medrehab Group Physiotherapy is looking for a dynamic physiotherapist assistant to join our extraordinary clinical team and Admin staff. This candidate will also be part of the big family at Medrehab Group operating 8 clinics around GTA. The applicant will be passionate about people, clinical care and musculoskeletal physiotherapy! They will use a confident, caring and evidence-based approach with their patients. The Physiotherapist Assistant will demonstrate a caring attitude that will create long lasting positive relationships with clients in the Pickering community.

Located in the Shoppers and Home Depot Plaza at Kingston Road and Walnut Lane

We have an exceptional client base in the community who are very motivated to participate in their rehab and get back to doing what they love!!

Duties include:

  • Follow and implement treatment plans designed by physiotherapist
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS)
  • Communicating, reporting, patient follow up calls, hands on treatment, updating patient progress
  • Keep all equipment in good condition and well maintained.
  • Provide excellent customer service, personal engagement and tracking for patients to come back
  • Set up and prepare all physiotherapy rooms and equipment for the day.
  • Do “aftercare” once a patient has finished treatment (eg. clean and sanitize room, prepare room for next patient).
  • Confirmation calls, re-activation calls, win back calls, follow up calls
  • Promote all services and therapeutic products
  • Schedule appointments for program of Care and top ensure treatment goals are met
  • Utilize a weekly SOAP note on clients to further clarify and explain changes in their condition and /or programs. ( i.e. Physical condition or program change). Assist PT with documentation and to stay current
  • Prepare charts/ assessment forms for new clients or those to be re-assessed and communicate their needs quickly to the physiotherapist.
  • Communicate daily, with both clinicians and admin staff, any necessary information that may affect client health and treatments.
  • Communicate regularly with the physiotherapist and direct supervisor to update any information and/or situation that may be pertinent.
  • Sanitizing and cleaning clinic, laundry, tidiness and organized
  • Assist front desk duties for coverage gaps
  • create excellent customer experience and survey patients for customer satisfaction
  • Assist with cross referrals and obtaining Google Reviews

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

  • physiotherapy clinic: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: One location
