Pharmasave Aberdeen is a locally owned and operated compounding pharmacy located in Kamloops, BC. We are looking for a Pharmacist to join our team, who is passionate about delivering informative, safe, and effective pharmacy services. We take pride in offering exceptional customer service and focusing on the individual needs of our patients.

We also offer travel vaccines and many other services to enhance our patients’ wellbeing. We are looking forward to expanding the services we offer, as anticipated by the expanded scope of practice where pharmacists will be able to prescribe for minor ailments, which will give you the opportunity to practice to the full scope of your training as a Pharmacist.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed and/or compounded, labeled and that records are complete in accordance with policies set out by the College of Pharmacists of BC and best practices.
  • Communicating instructions and counselling to patients on the proper use, possible side effects, administration, storage and/or disposal of prescribed and other over the counter medications in a professional and positive way.
  • Conducting medication reviews if appropriate.
  • Administering vaccines to patients as needed.
  • In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, supervising the technical functions of dispensing prescriptions and all necessary duties to support and maintain dispensary operations.
  • Adhering to operational procedures and company policies.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

  • You provide outstanding customer service with a positive attitude.
  • Your excellent communication skills, oral and written, support building strong relationships and resolving conflicts.
  • You enjoy delivering informative, safe, and effective pharmacy services.
  • You are passionate about the profession and the patients/customers, wanting the opportunity to practice to the full scope available to pharmacists in BC.
  • You are licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC.
  • You have experience as a pharmacist which may include compounding and working with industry software such as Kroll and billing to third-party plans.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 32 per week

Salary: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
