We are currently hiring part time Personal Attendants and Personal Support Aides to join our AbleLiving transitional care bed programs in Hagersville, at the West Haldimand General Hospital and in Paris at the Willett Urgent Care Centre. Our transitional care bed program includes 20 beds dedicated to individuals transitioning from hospital to the long-term care or back into the community.

Positions Available:

Personal Attendant

This position is responsible for providing non-medical personal support services, life-skills support and light housekeeping duties to enable clients to remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible. Duties include assisting clients with personal care, arranging and escorting clients to appointments, and housekeeping services. Personal Support Worker certificate is not required but is considered an asset. We welcome candidates with any previous caregiving experience.

This position is responsible for regular monitoring and provision of support to clients to enable them to remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible. Duties include monitoring, observing, assisting with and participating in housekeeping and homemaking activities, recreational and social activities. No personal care is required in this role and great for individuals with no experience but looking to get into the healthcare field.

Employment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Courses relating to personal support services for persons with disabilities or seniors, health & safety, first aid, physical and emotional needs of persons is an asset
  • Experience providing support for persons with disabilities or seniors on a paid or voluntary basis either in a work setting or through personal life experiences is beneficial.

As a condition of employment you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated or provide proof of valid exemption satisfactory to the employer prior to your start date.
