NACG is looking for a Painter/Sandblaster - Bench Hand to work at our new Acheson location. Our shop has expanded and looking for individuals to work in our new Acheson shop facility.
Location: Acheson
Schedule: 7x7 - 12 hours
Hourly Rate: Up to $30.78 - 40.26 per hour
Overtime: After 44 hours in a week or designated day off
Incentives: Company provided tools, Boot Allowance, Benefits
The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.
Responsibilities:
- Painting & Sandblasting mining equipment & other related components
- Provides general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area & related equipment
- Ability to use basic hand tools
- General help with dismantling & repairing undercarriage components
- Knowledge about maintenance, and a general knowledge of mechanical aspects
- Previous equipment painting experience considered an asset.
- Previous sandblasting experience considered an asset.
- On-site training provided
All successful candidates must:
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Have experience as requested as mentioned above
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fitness-to-Work Assessment
- Audiometric Testing
- Vision Screening
- Criminal Record Check
