P&D Driver (Part-Time) – North Bay, ON

To be considered for this role, you must have a good driving record and a minimum G class license. You also must possess written and verbal communication skills.

Major Activities and Responsibilities

-This position is Part-time with no guaranteed hours.

-Cover Vacations/Sick Days/Overflow, with the possibility of a full-time position in the future

-If there is no driving work (6-12hrs), warehouse work might be available (3-6hrs)

-Monday to Friday, starting time is 6:30am

-Use pulse scanner for all required activities on the daily route; all scannable waybills, laser waybills, and shipper’s own bar-coded labels must be scanned

-Delivery of all assigned material in the route area, within the specific requirements of both customer and Canpar Express Inc.

-Be familiar with areas North of Temagami and as far as Kirkland Lake.

-Ability & willingness to drive in rural areas, inclement weather, winter conditions

-Pick up of all assigned customer pick-ups within the specific guidelines of the Customers and Canpar Express Inc.

-Compile and submit accurate route records on a daily basis

Accountabilities/Results

-Responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction

-Professional representation of Canpar Express Inc. at all times, including the maintenance and presentation of vehicle, uniform, etc.

-On-time pick-up and delivery of customer shipments

-Interact effectively with other members of the customer service and operation teams
