Envie Student is looking for Full Time Overnight Security Guards for our building on Rideau Street, Ottawa ON. The Security Guard, reporting to the Front Desk Manager, is responsible for receiving and directing visitors and inquiries, relaying and coordinating Resident and employee messages by use of telephone and intercom and maintaining a record of persons entering and leaving the community, responding to complaints and security issues, ensuring the residents and guests are safe and adhering to laws and rules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pleasantly receives all persons entering the building, recognizing that he/she is the first impression of the community
• Answers the phone using the appropriate phone etiquette
• Maintains a daily log of visitors
• Understands and adheres to policies of the community
• Responds to complaints and lawful issues
• Performs regular building inspections
• Uses video monitoring software
• Performs other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid security guard license
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to speak, read and write English and to follow oral and written directions in the English language
• Must have a passion for working with tenants
