The ever-changing aspect of this job will require your tolerance of ambiguity to be high. This role, like Canfor, is always changing and adapting. Currently the primary responsibility is to provide technical support to the Production Departments during daily operations, area shutdowns and Turnarounds while also playing a key role in ensuring that we continue to operate in an environment committed to safe and environmentally responsible practice.

The Operations Specialist will also assist in developing and planning capital projects and discretionary projects as well as collect, analyze and use operational data to develop Continuous Improvement Initiatives This is no problem for your catlike reflexes as your ability to quickly adapt is exceptional.

In a perfect world, you have a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering Degree or a related diploma from a Technical College and Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant industrial or technical experience.
