Successfully completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program at a Master of Nursing Level. This role requires an experienced Nurse Practitioner looking to work to their full scope of practice and eager to assist in initiating and maintaining programs that will assist in enhancing clinical care for Bonnyville Hospitalist patients. At minimum, 3-5 years of in-patient medical nursing experience. Current BCLS certification for healthcare providers. Must be a member in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses (CARNA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to manage a select group of patients within scope but be aware and know the management of all inpatients. Strong understanding of the continuum of care from community to acute care to rehabilitation to alternate community options. Excellent communication skills. Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Demonstrated excellence in working collaboratively. Strong commitment to quality patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working collaboratively with Hospitalist physicians an asset. Experience with discharge planning, case management. Experience with Palliative Care, Wound Management and Orthopedic Pathways as asset.
