Drone Supervisor - Advanced NDT

Our Canadian operations currently provide services from Edmonton, Calgary, Cold Lake, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lloydminster, Nisku, and Red Deer. Our USA operations provide services from 23 office locations, our United Kingdom operations provide services from 7 office locations, and our Australian operations provide services from 5 locations.

Job Duties

  • Utilize advanced drone technologies to perform internal and external drone inspections at customer’s sites.
  • Organize, quote and determine feasibility of upcoming drone inspections.
  • Focal point for all drone related activities for IRISNDT Canada.
  • Responsible for effectively and safely piloting drones in an industrial environment.
  • Developing technical documentation in accordance with relevant government regulations (COAS Application, Flight Plan, Flight Manuals, etc).
  • Assisting crews with performing NDT.


Job Requirements and Experience

  • Must have valid advanced RPAS Certificate.
  • Must have valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Must have strong understanding of safety, hazard identification, and risk management in aviation.
  • Experience performing drone inspections in an industrial setting would be an asset.
  • Logged commercial flight experience would be an asset.
  • Any NDT experience would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Health benefits that meet or exceed industry standards will be provided after a 3-month probationary period.


Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory. All potential employees will be required to complete a pre-employment fitness examination and an alcohol and drug screening.
