Position Summary:

Hatch's Oil & Gas business unit is seeking an EIT with interest in process engineering. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, North America, you will support projects globally based out of our Calgary, Alberta office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with process engineering activities on projects of various complexity by applying concepts of chemical engineering principles
  • Performs calculations using company standard spreadsheets, software’s and other tools as required
  • May work independently to perform smaller studies throughout the full engineering lifecycle, and collaboratively share the results of your analysis with senior members of the Oil & Gas group and / or other Hatch disciplines
  • Assist to prepare presentations and reports for the studies/projects involved for use by internal and external stakeholders
  • Become knowledgeable about the processes, equipment and other Oil & Gas technologies you are assigned to work
  • Support/Write technical papers and present at conferences to demonstrate expertise in the field and engage clients
  • Support business development activities including market analysis, client engagement, and preparing proposals for new work
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Conduct site visits, field assessments and client engagement meetings


Education and Experience:

  • Must be working towards graduating in 2023, or recently graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree with interest in Oil & Gas processing
  • Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community
  • Previous coop or summer work terms within the Oil & Gas industry is an asset
  • Academic or work experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, and experience in Microsoft Project would be preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites including remote sites
