Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our Water Team based in the Burnaby, BC office. The candidate for this position will work on civil infrastructure, pumping station, drinking water and wastewater treatment projects and related infrastructure including planning and feasibility to design, construction, and commissioning.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and customers
+ Support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, and wastewater sectors
+ Complete technical calculations to support design decisions
+ Develop engineering plans, design drawings, and technical specifications
+ Assist with the preparation of technical reports
+ Provide construction administration and construction field services
+ Review and approve construction progress in the field
+ Coordinate the work of discipline engineers
+ Pursue and deliver new water/wastewater projects with private and municipal clients
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering
+ Registered as a P.Eng. in the province of BC (or eligible within 6-12 months)
+ 4+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in the municipal water/wastewater industry
+ Experience must include familiarity with industry standards and strong working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment design and engineering
+ Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license
+ Willing to travel to and visit active construction sites, providing field review services
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated communication skills through publications or presentations, and work
+ High level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive and enthusiasm for getting things done
+ Experience working in the consulting industry
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Masters Degree in Engineering
