Job Description


AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Resident Inspector/CAD Technologist role for immediate employment based from the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented group on water and wastewater treatment plants, water distribution, sanitary and storm pipelines, water resources as well as a wide variety of different municipal infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible and able to learn quickly on the job.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working under the direction of project manager
  • Carrying out inspections and preparing all necessary data and reports for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements
  • Preparing engineering drawings with the use of Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Creating plans, profiles, grading, surface drainage, land drainage, wastewater piping, and roadways for conceptual to final designs
  • Coordinating project drawings with project managers, engineers, and collaborating with other disciplines.
  • Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner and meet conformance with CAD standards


Qualifications


Minimum Requirements

  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma + 2 years of experience in civil/ municipal projects
  • 1+ years experience with Civil 3D and Microstation


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally 5+ years + Experience with Bentley Microstation/OpenRoads and Autocad Civil 3D
  • Strong communication skills along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and working in a team environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Bentley Microstation, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Experienced in PC use with MS office proficiency
  • Highly organized, with significant attention to detail, and able to prioritize multiple tasks/work assignments
  • Adaptable and proactive
  • Experience with construction inspection and related field work
  • Surveying experience, use of GPS survey equipment
