Currently PepsiCo Beverages Canada, Calgary Facility is recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to help support our Production team.
Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Maintaining equipment in a satisfactory condition for safe operation
- Executing preventative maintenance schedules
- Performing equipment repairs as needed
- Installing new equipment and systems
- Improving the operation efficiency of production equipment and central services
- Diagnosing equipment malfunctions and optimizing running settings
- Interacting daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs
- Working with other departments on process improvement activities
- Recommending changes and/or improvements to plant equipment/facilities/procedures
- Working with outside contractors and other trades
- Operating and changing over equipment as required
- Performing all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
- Keeping work area orderly and clean
- Other tasks as directed by Maintenance lead hands and/or Supervisors
Qualifications
- Must exhibit a safety first mindset
- Must hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright license (433A) with a certificate of Qualification or a valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Certificate of Apprenticeship
- Experience in the beverage/food/packaged goods industry preferred
- Must be skilled in use of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
- Must be able to lift/carry 50-85 lbs
- Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping
- Must be able to work on computers and iPads
- Must be able to work night shifts or weekend shifts as required
