About the Role

The Metal Fabricator/Fitter is responsible for reading and analyzing blueprints and drawings to assess & solve technical problems. The Metal Fabricator will be required to fabricate components or structures & perform quality checks for piping systems. This role will be required to use a variety of light and heavy machinery such saws, drill press, mag drill, welder, grinders, measuring tools, overhead crane, forklift, oxy-fuel and plasma cutter to make the necessary cuts and to assemble the fabricated components into complete units. May occasionally use press brake, and iron worker.

Requirements

• Red Seal Fabricator
• At least 5 years of experience
• Prior pipe experience is an asset
• Mechanical & Industry knowledge
• Proficient in Mathematics, especially Trigonometry.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach above and below waist.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Willingness to travel to off-site locations as needed.
• Must have own steel-toe boots and hard hat.

Jewel Welding Pipe Fab & Coatings is a privately-owned company based in Maple Ridge, BC. Located on the Fraser River, our fabrication and coatings facility produces customized pipeline welding solutions for our clients including fabrication, spooling, alloy welding, and specialty coatings.

Salary: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
