Medical Radiation Technologists - CT/XRay
are needed for travel/deployment assignments throughout Nunavut, providing a range of radiology expertise in all hospital departments.

The Technologist consults with the physicians and other medical staff and provides radiological technical expertise and support to the nursing staff in the outlying committees. This position impacts the excellence of patient care, treatment and diagnosis the health care team provides.

Due to the remoteness of the Hospital from major referral centres, the Technologist must have a thorough understanding of Radiology, CT, ECG, Holter monitor and Cardiac event equipment, plus equipment maintenance and repair. These services are provided Monday to Friday from 08:30-17:00 hours. Services required after regular working hours and during the weekends are covered on an “on-call” (standby) basis shared by the staff Technologists. The Technologist may be called upon to lead and direct day-to-day operations in the Manager's absence.

We are looking for individuals who can travel/deploy for the Summer (or longer).
Evening, Overnight, and Weekend availability may be required.

  • The ability to operate safely and efficiently the Radiographic, CT and Portable units as required to produce quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist for diagnosis to aid in the client’s treatment.
