• You hold a permanent full-time position (Must be available to work on Saturdays).

Your tasks at a glance

• You are the master of keeping our tools clean and sterile.
• You receive, sort, disassemble, decontaminate, clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize and store instruments.
• You keep accurate records of sterile items.
• You make sure to rotate stock (FIFO) and reprocess outdated supplies.
• You perform designated cleaning duties, restocks shelves, cupboards and carts according to established written policies/procedures.
• You are responsible for maintaining, testing and keeping records of sterilization tests (Bowie-Dicks, BI's, etc.) and regular maintenance and testing of the Ultrasonic.
• You are comfortable travelling between our LASIK MD City Centre, LASIK MD North West and King LASIK locations.

A clear view of your assets

• You possess a recognized Sterile Processing Technician certificate or a Medical Device Reprocessing course (MDR) (Current CSA or **IACHSMM/HSPA required).
• You have the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• You have an eye for details, have good judgment skills, and always stay alert.
• You are interested in the health services field and in helping others.
• Experience in a medical practitioner’s office, customer service and/or patient care or other medical administrative experience is an asset.
